About Us
Our Story
It all began in September of 1995 when God laid it upon Bishop Clifford Broderick-Aryee’s heart to reach out to the youth in his community. Burdened in his heart with this divine revelation of God’s purpose for his life, Bishop Clifford went around the community evangelizing. Out of the youth fellowship, sprung up leaders in school fellowships and churches. The youth resorted to extensive soul wining and before long, the number of Fellowship Leaders increased from one to seven.
These Leaders who were in their youth went around most secondary and elementary schools wining souls for Jesus Christ. During this time of evangelism and soul winning, God blessed the fellowship tremendously and as a result, the Gospel Youth Fellowship Ministry (GYFM) was birthed. GYFM became a vibrant spirit filled youth fellowship.
In 1997, the fellowship began to attract adult participation. A fellowship comprising of both youth and adults began meeting on Sunday evenings for prayers. After two and a half years of meeting in the evenings, the Lord laid it upon Bishop Clifford’s heart by the prompting of the Holy Spirit to raise a Bible believing Church with a mission to “Reaching out to the Dying Souls with the Gospel of Salvation” and a vision of creating “A Place where God Can Make Everybody Somebody”
With the grace of GOD upon their lives accompanied by the direction and promotion of the Holy Spirit, Bishop Clifford and the seven Fellowship Leaders who believed they received a mandate from GOD to raise a Bible-believing Church, founded the Gospel Outreach Ministry International (GOMI) in October 1999 in Accra-Ghana.
After years of soul winning and being a dedicated Pastor and Servant of God to his flock, Bishop Clifford was once again prompted by the Holy Spirit relocated to the United Kingdom where he served in some local Churches in Manchester and London. In fulfillment of the mission and vision, he was led to relocate to the United States of America, with an expectation of reaching the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon his arrival in Maryland-USA in March 2006 a branch of GOMI was founded which morphed into Remain in Faith Ministries (RFM), Silver Spring Maryland in July 2006 out his apartment home.
As the number increased, the leadership saw it fit to rent out a hall in Canon Road Elementary School. After being there for a few months, the Church was moved to the Newport School and then to Westover Elementary School where the church was growing with the move of the Holy Spirit and Power of God.
In 2013, led by the Holy Spirit, the Church relocated to Laurel MD and is currently meeting at the Deerfield Run Community Center.
In March of 2015 he was ordained as the presiding Bishop of Remain in Faith Ministries (RFM). He also received two honorary doctorate degrees in Divinity and Science in Christian Counseling.
